You only have to scroll down your instagram feed about 3 swipes before you get serious travel envy. But before you embed yourself heavily in to 2017, remind yourself of all the places you want to go and things you wanted to see in 2016 that you missed.
Not naming any names but a certain airline had £3 flights to the coolest cities in Europe a couple of months back and I’m sure it won’t be long before flash sales pop up again.
Since when did return flights to Thailand cost £350? So grab your essentials… We’re flying out.
First things first, you’ll need transport. (Yep, pretty obvious)
You can take your own, as long as you’ve got fuel and a will to drive you can go anywhere. Or if you’re in London the easiest way to travel is by tube. The Oyster card has been around for years, but now it’s easier to just use your contactless card.
Then you’ll need you’re trusty phone – keep it charged up, I swear by the Mophie power station mini. It’s 3000mAh battery allows you an extra 12 hours of battery life. It’s sleek, discreet and very lightweight.
A good set of headphones are a must when you’re trying to zone out on the flight or train journey. Don’t forget to download a travel playlist, those songs will bring you back every time.
Finally your camera. This is the most important piece to ensure you capture those memories. Yeah you’re phone is great for photos but if you get the opportunity to take a great shot, don’t miss it and make sure to maximise it with a Compact. You don’t want to lug round an SLR with interchangeable lenses. This Canon EOS M10 is a fantastic buy with awesome clarity, it’s versatility and touch flip screen for those all important selfies. And it won’t put over the limit on your hand luggage either.
